Volunteer Work
What Volunteers Do:
Volunteers help our main library on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays with tasks such as re-stocking shelves, reading for the Monday STEAM storytimes with the children who come, planning potential library events, helping at public events like the annual book sale or working at the Ryegate fair. They also have knowledge of how to check books in as well as check books out to people. They also help create art kits for children to create artwork with, also putting books away is a huge part of it as well!
Who Can Volunteer?:
Any person can volunteer! You do have to be in the sixth grade or older as it is more difficult for smaller kids to do some things like put books away or carry heavy items.
